  1. Yes, indeed. So much of our health care dollars could be reduced if people would accept the science based facts that carbs/sugar, etc., cause inflammation … and it’s the inflammatory process that underlies soooo many disease processes. Not that carbs becoming anathema would fix all ills, but it’d sure make an impact. But we sound-bite news addicts believe whatever ‘they’ say.

    And, oh my, you’d never sell low carb in the Italian community where I live. Pasta, bread … and then of course, pasta, bread, and … more bread … and more pasta.

    Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE pasta and bread (as a matter of fact, I’d rather have warm Italian bread and butter over sweets for dessert any day), but I also know that I become almost crippled (no exaggeration) with stiffness when I eat carbs for long periods. It miraculously stops when I eat (boring) keto. There are so many ways you can disguise cauliflower, but hey, I like being able to climb the stairs.

    Sorry for the diatribe. An ex smoker can be insufferable. Ex carbs addicts can be obnoxious too ads I have just illustrated, eh? My apologies to carb lovers everywhere. (If it’s any consolation, I will self-report that I still get as close as I can and smell the Italian food and warm bread whenever I can. LOL)

  2. Hey, thanks for the video recommendation. Through these years of understanding what to eat and what not to stay healthy, I have learnt that all of us just need to follow a few simple rules
    1. Don’t eat anything made form of refined white flour
    2. Keep away from white sugar
    3. Stay away from carbonated drinks

    I follow these rules as much as I can and it really works as I had lost around 25kgs and got back in good health when I was in my college days.

  3. At an anatomy class a long time ago, my professor speculated that fake sugars gave rise to adult-onset diabetic. It’s organ exhaustion similar to running your garbage disposal with a fake garbage. Sooner or later it will break. Unfortunately, I was interested enough in the idea to pursue it. Make me wonder if there are research out there supporting that professor’s opinion.
